Australia is a diverse and multicultural country. It is the sixth largest country in the world and its original inhabitants, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, have been living in Australia for at least 40,000 years. Australia's population of more than 21 million people, is made up of 43% of people that were either born overseas or have one parent who was born overseas. There are over 200 different languages and dialects spoken in Australia, including 45 indigenous languages.
If you are not an Australian citizen and wish to migrate to Australia, work in Australia or visit Australia you will need to obtain an Australian Visa. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) are responsible for granting visas to enable non citizens to enter Australia.
Processing for ENS & RSMS visas:
Cases are now being centrally allocated which means that your application will be allocated to the first available processing officer regardless of which state you reside. The case officer may make a decision based on the information accompanying the application. It is therefore important when lodging Nomination and Visa Applications that you lodge "complete applications" ie: all supporting documents are submitted at the time the application is lodged.
This will help to improve the processing time off your RSMS/ENS (sub class 186 / 187 visa) application and reduce the possibility that the Nomination or Application may be refused.
