About Us

Julie Teshome

Registered Migration Agent, MARN 074 1622

Julie Teshome is the Principal Migration Consultant with Aussie Visa Solutions and was employed as a senior Australian public servant with the Department of Immigration & Citizenship, now known as Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) for more than 19 years. She left Immigration in 2006 and registered as a Migration Agent with OMARA in 2007. Julie has more than 34 years experience in the immigration industry.

Julie is a graduate from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Social Work.

She commenced with Immigration in 1987 and worked in a range of operational areas including Partner, Family, Parents, Temporary Residence, Students, Business, Refugees, Onshore Protection, Settlement and Corporate programs. As her role as a senior public servant she supervised Immigration case officers ensuring applicants met stringent Australian Migration Regulations.

The highlight of my career with Immigration was the time when we were Australian Diplomats in East Africa. I was the Second Secretary Immigration at the Australian High Commission in Kenya for nearly five years. This was an amazing and humbling experience for myself and also my family. I worked long hours, travelled across Africa interviewing thousands of visa applicants and loved nearly every minute of it!

The Australian government expects their Overseas Officers to work and live within very high ethical standards and as a family we were exposed to many wonderful experiences. It was personally challenging seeing the very hard lives of some Africans, but there was also so much pride and inner strength in my clients that I knew if given the opportunity, they would make wonderful Australians.

Australian migration has been a huge part of my life. Australia is a multicultural country and we are fortunate to raise our children in a democracy that respects the rights of individuals but also encourages maintenance of our culture. Australia is still the land of opportunity.

Since 2007, Aussie Visa Solutions have managed a broad range of visa subclasses however in 2019 they decided to dedicate themselves to mainly Partner Visa Applications. This gave them an opportunity to provide a personal and flexible visa service to the individual needs of Australian Sponsors, their Partners and immediate family members.

People has a primary need to feel connection with others and the significant processing times in Australian Partner visa program can often put huge strain on personal relationships. When couples are forced to live apart due to external factors such as closures of our International Borders this often exacerbates the relationship & emotional pressures.

After many years of working with visa clients and people from culturally diverse backgrounds, Julie & Simon expanded their expertise into the fields of Hypnotherapy, Nuero-linguistic programming (NLP) and Psychotherapy. This has enabled them to also offer Visa Clients cross cultural emotional support and coaching under their business “Infinite Minds.”

Julie & Simon understand that the Visa Migration process can be stressful and overwhelming and their range of Mindset Programs can help people better handle the range of emotions which may be experienced throughout the visa process. Effective support and awareness can help alleviate anxiety, stress, confusion and overwhelm.

They believe that each person is unique and provide their Clients with a personalised and flexible Aussie Visa Solution designed to fit each person’s individual needs & circumstances.
